Victorian Volunteer Small Grants Program

Member for Monbulk, James Merlino announced today the opening of the new round of Victorian Volunteer Small Grants. “This program is a great opportunity for local non-for-profit community groups to strengthen their existing volunteer programs, create new opportunities for volunteers and encourage more volunteers to join.” Mr Merlino said.

“Volunteering has significant benefits for both the individual and the community. It brings personal satisfaction, with research showing that people who volunteer report better physical and mental health. It also helps to create strong and active communities for the future.” he said.

With grants of up to $5,000 available for local not-for-profit organisations, this is a great opportunity to engage with the community and tackle a new project. I urge community groups to use this program to their advantage.
