Work Underway On Coburg North PS Redevelopment
Students at Coburg North Primary School are a step closer to getting the modern learning facilities they deserve thanks to the Andrews Labor Government, with a major upgrade on track for completion in 2019.
Minister for Education James Merlino today visited the school to inspect progress of the works on the $6.7 million upgrade, which includes a complete refurbishment of the school’s Games Hall, development of a new Junior Learning Centre and administration building.
It also includes the construction of a purpose-built science, technology, arts and mathematics (STEAM) performance hub.
Designed by the team at ClarkeHopkinsClarke and built by Newton Manor, the new facilities will provide a modern learning environment for Coburg North Primary School junior school students and state-of-the-art facilities for all year levels to learn about science, maths and technology through creative arts projects.
The Labor Government is building the Education State so that every student can access a great local school and education, and has invested more than $3.8 billion to improve classrooms, upgrade facilities and build new schools across the state.
This school building boom has delivered more than 1,300 school upgrades and 70 new school projects across the state, supporting more than 5,000 construction jobs for Victorians.
