Students Celebrate Their VCE And VCAL Results
The wait is officially over for the thousands of students who have completed the final chapter of their secondary schooling this year, with results released at 7:00am today.
Minister for Education James Merlino congratulated more than 64,000 students across the state who received their Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) or Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL) results this morning via app, email or online.
A record 50,944 students will graduate with their VCE this year – an equal all-time high completion rate of 98 per cent. A further 13,091 students will graduate with their VCAL.
Students getting results today may go to university, TAFE, start an apprenticeship or traineeship, begin employment, or take some time off for a gap year.
Mr Merlino acknowledged Victoria’s excellent schools and the great work they do to helping students overcome barriers that might otherwise affect their outcomes.
He also reminded students that their results don’t define them and emphasised the many opportunities and pathways available for school leavers to achieve their goals.
Students who may have questions about their results should contact their school or the Post Results and ATAR service on 1800 653 080.
