School Upgrade And New Relocatable For Woori Yallock Primary

Woori Yallock Primary School students and staff are benefitting from a new $87,000 infrastructure upgrade as well as new relocatable building at the school, thanks to the Andrews Labor Government.

Minister for Education James Merlino visited Woori Yallock Primary School today to officially open the school’s new covered walkway and large undercover area, which connects the main building to relocatable buildings.

The Minister also announced that Woori Yallock Primary School would receive a mod-5 relocatable building help meet growing enrolment pressure.

The covered walkway and undercover area links the school buildings together, provides weather protection and allows students and staff to access toilets at the school, which are located in the main building, in all weather conditions.

Construction of the walkway and undercover area included galvanised steel frames, a Colorbond roof and installation of downpipes.

The Labor Government is building the Education State so that every Victorian student gets the opportunity for a great education and every community has access to a great school.

The Labor Government has invested $6.1 billion to deliver more than 1,400 school upgrades, supporting over 7500 construction jobs for Victorians.

A total of 100 new schools will open by 2026 under the Labor Government’s school building boom, ensuring every child has a great local school and a great start in life.
