Only Labor Will Save Swinburne Lilydale And Melba Support Services

An Andrews Labor Government will do whatever it takes to preserve the Swinburne Lilydale site as a place of learning, pledging $10 million to refurbish the campus and find a TAFE and Higher Education provider.

Deputy Leader of the Opposition and Labor Member for Monbulk, James Merlino, joined Labor Candidate for Evelyn, Peter Harris, at the Swinburne Lilydale site to affirm Labor’s pledge.

Melba Support Services provide training for disabled people in the outer east. Bushfire threat made Melba’s headquarters unsafe, so the provider is currently leasing some of the buildings at the Lilydale site from Swinburne.
