FUNDING BOOST FOR MONTROSE AND MT EVELYN CFA VOLUNTEERS
Montrose CFA volunteers will receive a funding boost of more than $13,000 for a new Health and Wellbeing Fitness Area, and Maroondah Group (including Mt Evelyn CFA) will receive $13,220 for two new petrol generators thanks to the Andrews Labor Government.
Minister for Emergency Services James Merlino visited the Montrose CFA Fire Station to congratulate volunteers on their successful application under the $15 million Emergency Services Volunteer Sustainability grants program.
The fitness area will house brand new gym equipment for members to use for fitness, training and general wellbeing.
It’s designed not only for the physical fitness of members but also their overall wellbeing.
The ESVS grants program has seen more than 550 grants worth more than $9 million approved so far.
Details of the successful grant recipients can be found at www.emv.vic.gov.au/esvsgrants
In addition to the ESVS grants program the Volunteer Emergency Services Equipment Program (VESEP) remains open.
Grants of up to $100,000 are available under the 2017–18 program to CFA, VICSES, Life Saving Victoria, marine search and rescue providers, and other eligible volunteer emergency services groups.
