A Diamond Creek mother who voted Liberal at the last election has pleaded with Mr Baillieu to deliver on his promise to make Victorian teachers the nation’s best paid, Shadow Minister for Education, James Merlino, said today.

Kennington Primary School has informed parents that in 2013 there will be no assistance to pay for books, excursions and camps as a result of Baillieu Government budget cuts, Mr Merlino said today.

The Baillieu Government continued to avoid dealing with the impact of their cuts to TAFE and education, having faced another day of prosecution in Parliament from the Labor Opposition, Shadow Education Minister James Merlino said.
The Baillieu Government have been targeted in Parliament today for claiming that education funding has been invested in ‘students that matter’, despite hearing how the cuts were having a severe impact on schools and families across the state.
